Dealing with Wild Onions

Dear C.J.
The Tall Fescue caught on pretty good, enough so that I had to mow it the other day. I will wait until Spring to put in some Zoysia plugs. Anyway, my question this time is “Wild Onions”. On a large area of my property that I did not aerate and over seed, onions are sprouting everywhere. This is an area that will be seeded next fall. Other than digging each one up by the roots, how can I get rid of them? In the Spring of this year, I put down some weed control that was supposed to do the job, but it didn’t as evidenced by them this fall. Help!
