Dollar Spot Lawn Disease Fungus

Hi Coach,

I’ve got small dead spots popping up all over my lawn. Can you check out the pictures and let me know what you think?

Hi Grant,

It doesn't get more textbook than this. You've got Dollar Spot. It's a relatively minor disease that occurs when the days are warm, nights are moderate, fertility is low, and water is plentiful. If I’m right, a close up inspection of some of the affected leaves should look similar to the picture below.

Usually a good dose of fertilizer helps it to grow out. If you do that this weekend, the lawn should be fine and I suspect those spots will be green again in a few weeks.
